Industry Participation

Composites One is committed to participation in industry associations. In order to support our customers, we make sure to stay up-to-date on product and process trends within the composites industry.

Composites One is involved in multiple organizations dedicated to the composites industry, including the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA). Several members of our team are actively involved on the ACMA Board of Directors as well as several other committees. Composites One President and COO Leon Garoufalis serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors and was awarded the ACMA President’s Award for his industry efforts. Garoufalis is also the Chair of the Composites Growth Initiatives (CGI) and was awarded the ACMA Chairman’s Award in 2011. Director of Marketing Communications, Marcy Offner, was awarded the ACMA Volunteer of the Year in 2011 for serving on various committees and was also the Steering Committee Chair of the 2014 and 2016 CAMX shows. Composites One also serves on additional ACMA committees like: Technical Committee, CGI Committees (Architecture, Corrosion, Pultrusion, Automotive), Marketing Committee, and Strategic Planning Committee

Composites One also has a strong relationship with the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) where we support research innovation through projects like the NREL Wind Blade and Additive Manufacturing. Composites One and The Closed Mold Alliance present four joint workshops per year across the United States in partnership with IACMI.

In addition to IACMI, Composites One also supports training programs at Davis Technical College in Salt Lake City with products, technical support, product development and testing.

Composites One serves as a member of various local SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering) chapters,supports SAMPE as a corporate partner.

Composites One is also a member of the International Cast Polymer Association (ICPA). In 2012, Composites One Technical Sales Representative Ann Morris won the President’s Award for her work in the ICPA.
